 .gif) Many ask why we call ourselves "ants". The answer is, from our perspective, quite clear. Doing our job we want to be like these precisely acting, neat, strong and purposeful insects. It is unlikely to find a person who has never stopped for once in front of "ant-hill" being astounded by busy life of these tiny creatures. Such a small and fragile world of "ants" somehow seems very similar to ours. We are attracted and amazed by endless cares and troubles of these whippets which find their way out of any situation with dignity, because they always act as a team. Just like purposeful people!
What do you think, what Earth inhabitant is the strongest one? The elephant? But this 4-tonne animal can hardly lift a tree trunk of a little bit over 200 kilograms. But this achievement is nothing if think in terms of fair weight categories. Scientists have determined that some sub-species of "ants", in groups, are capable of moving in long distances items that exceed their own weight in 5000 times! Incredible: only imagine a human being weighing 70 kilograms and carrying 350 tons in his hands.
